In our clinic, we perform hair transplant surgeries by two methods: classic strip harvesting from a back (donor) zone of the patient’s head and a seamless FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction / FUE; other names of the FUE are: Follicular Isolation Technique / FIT, Hair Follicular Extraction / HFE) from a back (donor) zone of the patient’s head, chest and abdomen (Body Hair Transplant / BHT). The first technique is mainly used for the hair graft transplantation of large volumes from several thousand grafts and more. The second one is respectively more suitable for smaller hair grafts. To transplant the maximum amount of hair during one surgery, both grafting methods can be applied. To achieve great visual effect, combined procedures using medical tattooing (concealing scars after the strip harvesting and local scars after the FUE surgeries, scalp injuries; visual hair densification in the receded scalp zones for both men and women) are permitted.
Except for basic procedures of transplanting patient’s hair from a donor zone to a balding site, most often caused by androgenetic (hereditary) alopecia, we perform restoration (repair) of eyebrows and eyelashes in our clinic as well. With a surgical hair restoration, we conceal scars from mechanical injuries and burns of the scalp as well as excise scars after the hair transplant surgery by strip harvesting, which includes buried suturing, by “dispersing” linear scars and making them almost invisible.
In our clinic, patients are received by the doctors specialized in trichology (hair science). To determine an accurate diagnosis, computer-assisted diagnostics with Aramo SG unit as well as phototrichogram (PGT) enables doctors to identify signs of abnormal hair loss at the early stages – androgenetic alopecia, diffuse alopecia and other scalp diseases, are used. Based on investigations, our trichologist assigns an individual treatment and care program for the hair and scalp.
